I forgot all about this blog! Eep!

It's been a while and I'm not sure what to write about. I think I'm just going to dedicate this post to showcasing a lot of my favourite pins I've found floating on the site lately. :)

More to come!

Personal Purchases: Hardware

1

So I have a passionate love affair with gold and metals. Had the iPhone for almost a month now and was trying to figure out exactly what kind of case would be the perfect one for me. It had to be neutral, fit well, not bulky, not one I'd want to switch or change often and had to be affordable as well. I've never been a fan of prints, patterns, colours or much else when it comes to accessories. SO after some much thought and consideration, I finally decided that brushed metal would be IT. Found one online for about $50 (too steep for me) but debated on buying it right away (as I'm known to do) until I found one for a lot less. Came across these babies on eBay for about $7 total for both! The only things that bug me are the tendency to pick up fingerprints and such (on all surfaces except the padded interior) but it does hold securely (can hardly get it off my phones!). It also only covers the side as it's not a flexible material so I suppose I'll have to put up with it. They do look gorgeous, if I do say so myself. Hehe. And the added bonus is that they look expensive. But posh. :)

The Ivanka Trump bag is a lovely bag I spotted during a recent shopping excursion at The Bay. I always do love their handbag selections and saw that the Ivanka Trump collection offers some really nice, classy handbags and evening bags. The black bag with gold hardware would be about ....the fifth or six black and gold bag in my collection (yes, probably could be referred to as an obsession). I don't care what brand it is as long as it's a good quality bag so I'm glad that the designer came out with this. Plus I love classic glamour! It's at the right price point as I thought it would be great for my everyday bag. It's the right size, has a zippered top opening (hate flaps) and includes a nice front pocket. I would love a strong single handle/strap but this works. I just love it and can't wait to wear it out! The only thing I don't like is the interior. It has this Ivanka Trump logo just monogrammed on a gold fabric lining with a red Ivanka Trump metal plaque...the overall look of it reminds me of Baby Phat. Not fond of that but whatever. Going to wear the crap out of this bag. Lol.

Personal Purchase: Kenneth Cole Watch

SO. Lookie what I got! You know this watch? CARTIER. This watch that has been floating through my Pinterest, and probably yours, for a long time now? I grew to really want this watch. Just like I wanted a boyfriend watch (which I already have). And then it was the Cartier Tank Francaise. Is it not a beautiful watch, or what? It's gold, it's strong, it's classy and expensive. And best of all, it goes with EVERYTHING. Just like a classy watch should. This is my first gold watch (and dirt cheap too!) so now I have a silver watch that goes with cooler colours in an outfit, and a gold one for warmer colours. I have a bad watch obsession and I am influenced very easily.

This was on my radar for a little bit. At first I wanted the Fossil one that was similar except it was a bit more expensive and the dial was longer and more rectangular. And it didn't have a white dial. This does not have a white dial, but a MOTHER OF PEARL one. And best of all - it looks better and has hour markers! So say hello to the newest member of my watch family.

Kenneth Cole, you are here to stay. I can't afford the Cartier but you are a damned good alternative.

Shades of Brown

Shades of brown...plus a pop of red! Ok so this outfit went from semi dressy to completely dressy, lol. I originally wanted to find a nice pair of leopard print loafers but when I came across the red Louboutins I couldn't resist. So cute. If I had to name an appropriate occasion for this outfit, I'd say for someone who is in her 20s or early 30s wanting to go on a date with her man to a restaurant for a romantic dinner or another equally classy setting. You could always switch the shorts for a black high waisted pencil skirt but the shorts were perfect (inspired by Olivia Palermo). Ultra glamorous, chic, and most importantly EXPENSIVE. But, that's just me.

Light and Off-White

You know what I have been seeing as of late? Off-white fabrics in fashion. I find that not only are rich, luxurious fabrics and materials glamorous, but especially off-white ones. Whether it's a dress, coat, pants, a pair of gloves, bag, or scarf, it's very chic and expensive-looking. I'm not sure if it's a trend right now, but it sure looks good.
