I am obsessed with...home libraries!

A good library emanates curiosity, wonderment, timelessness, and vast knowledge to me. I've grown up reading books and loving it. I can never get bored in a library, and I know I'm not the only person either. The titles! The genres! The aisles! The fun surprises that you'll find from picking up different titles...it's overwhelming but in a fun grab-your-cart-and-stuff-as-many-as-you-can kind of way. I hope to one day build my own library. I know it'll be slightly glamorous, modern, and modestly sized. And filled with lots of fun trinkets and bookends, of course!

Above are some great examples of some home libraries that I've scouted across the web. Get a load of the bookshelves in picture (4)! Pretty, right?! Just looking at these photos gives me lots of ideas to help me mentally and visually construct my perfect, slightly glamorous but functional home library that WILL ONE DAY HAPPEN.

Interiors III: Tall, Traditional Spaces

This set of glamorous spaces carry a traditional design aesthetic. They also showcase a bit of grandeur but they are lovely, comfortable, and liveable. Tradtitional styles are always very pleasing because they are timeless and won't get 'old' or 'dull' looking as they stand the test of time. It's not over-the-top, it's not eclectic, but calm and elegant - and perfect for anyone! I love the last photo by Sharon Mimran - it is SO gorgeous! The glossy herringbone patterned floors, the zebra printed coffee table (or is it a bench?), the elegant legs on all of the furniture, and the gold accents all make the room so pretty. The minimal use of pattern and prints keep it looking traditional yet tasteful and modern.

Interiors II: Colourful Spring Spaces

These vivid spaces are just bursting with an assortment of colours! They're fresh, beautiful, and glamorous in their own tasteful way. If I were in any one of these rooms I don't know if I could ever exercise the ability to be sad, mad, confused or any other non-blissful emotion. So lovely.

Whenever you walk into a home, the first thing that catches your eye is the design impact. I personally love interior design as well as style and decor of a room. I am a Pisces therefore I tend to migrate towards soft, pretty, dreamy, romantic and glamorous styles, lol, although not always! The more glam it is, the more I'll like it. AESTHETIC IS EVERYTHING. Well, not everything, because a room has to be functional too. But the first thing you do is LOOK when you walk into a room. Gotta liven up the space because an unadorned room can be bland and inspire no feeling whatsoever. A room is a space you'll eventually spend a lot of time in so it best look good! Some designers know how to pack a punch within a single glance.
