Shades of Brown

Shades of brown...plus a pop of red! Ok so this outfit went from semi dressy to completely dressy, lol. I originally wanted to find a nice pair of leopard print loafers but when I came across the red Louboutins I couldn't resist. So cute. If I had to name an appropriate occasion for this outfit, I'd say for someone who is in her 20s or early 30s wanting to go on a date with her man to a restaurant for a romantic dinner or another equally classy setting. You could always switch the shorts for a black high waisted pencil skirt but the shorts were perfect (inspired by Olivia Palermo). Ultra glamorous, chic, and most importantly EXPENSIVE. But, that's just me.

Work Style Series #3: Beauty in Black

It wasn't my intention to incorporate a few trends of the spring season but I came across the peplum + floral top and strappy sandal incidentally while putting this outfit together. I love a fitted pantsuit on a woman. It's slim, chic, and ever so classy. It's also fail proof because it'll always be stylish no matter the era or season. The peplum top and bag give the black outfit some colour and personality but they're also glam pieces. A fitted anything is a show-stopper in my opinion, and a slim pantsuit is right up there. Va va voom, baby!

Work Style Series #2: Sleek Powerhouse

To bump it up, I built an outfit that speaks to the intelligent, smart, sharp, and fashion-focused, career-oriented woman. She's been working in her industry for a couple of years now and is taking her wardrobe to newer heights. She doesn't need to embellish, over-accessorize, or worry about putting too much time into her outfits. She's already got a great closet to start with! Instead, she sticks to simple, chic and feminine choices that fit perfectly to her form. She invests in high quality materials, fabrics, and timeless pieces that work with several other outfits as she recognizes that it doesn't take much to look ready. Hopefully this will one day be me. lol.

Work Style Series #1: Young & Bright

Time for another outfit series! This time it is centered around the modern career woman. When you're working 9-5 (or whatever your hours) it's tiring to have to put in effort into your outfit everyday. I like to spruce things up. You don't have to stick to pant suits all the time. Granted, they're way easier and require less thought and effort but if you want to stand out, use some bright colours for some inspiration! For this particular outfit, I wanted to use yellow and fuschia with some gold accents as the main features. It's contemporary and youthful but still within the confines of professional work attire. This outfit just screams summer!

Holiday Style Series #3: Midnight Beauty

The concept for this outfit is built around the colour black with silver accents. I would pick silver tone jewelry simply because the whole outfit is filled with cooler tones and it's perfect for the holidays! I also love that the little snowflake earrings complement the coming weather. The bracelets and watch I would wear on one arm, the skull ring I would wear on the other; it's decorative enough on its own without any other accessories to help bling it up. 

As it is getting colder, I'd probably complete the look with a warm little number, such as: 
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

But I like the first one the best. lol. What would best complement the outfit is probably #2 or #3 but whatever works! I'd personally go with a faux mink shawl but I can't find one.

Holiday Style Series #2: Cocktail Stunner

Naturally this reflects my own personal style. Chic, glamorous, feminine, soft, and romantic. On one arm I would wear the fur bracelet with the three rose gold rings all on the middle finger, and on the other arm I'd go with just the gold druzy ring. Of course, for this post, I had to step it up because the prettier things (at least to me lol) are designer luxury items and THEY'RE ALL SO GORGEOUS. Again this is also intended to give a general idea of what to wear but if I had the money....

Note: The bracelet on the mannequin is not one of my picks. It came with the mannequin lol.

Holiday Style Series #1: Dazzing in Blue

The holidays are my favourite time of year and since I love any excuse to dress up, I thought I'd put together a mini style series to showcase the kind of outfits I'd wear if I were to attend a lot of Christmas/New Year parties lol. I'm always cooking up outfits in my head anyways so why not! It's also intended to give a general idea to those who aren't sure what to wear :)
