I am obsessed with...This maxi dress!

I love Julie's style and her blog is amazing. She knows how to create outfits that are casual, comfortable, feminine and low-key. This maxi dress is THE maxi dress of maxi dresses, you guys. It's got the shape of a typical couture gown but it's played down with the floral print and her vintage ankle boots. It's made sexy by adding a slit and loose sleeve holes. I absolutely love it.

Work Style Series #3: Beauty in Black

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

It wasn't my intention to incorporate a few trends of the spring season but I came across the peplum + floral top and strappy sandal incidentally while putting this outfit together. I love a fitted pantsuit on a woman. It's slim, chic, and ever so classy. It's also fail proof because it'll always be stylish no matter the era or season. The peplum top and bag give the black outfit some colour and personality but they're also glam pieces. A fitted anything is a show-stopper in my opinion, and a slim pantsuit is right up there. Va va voom, baby!

Work Style Series #2: Sleek Powerhouse

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

To bump it up, I built an outfit that speaks to the intelligent, smart, sharp, and fashion-focused, career-oriented woman. She's been working in her industry for a couple of years now and is taking her wardrobe to newer heights. She doesn't need to embellish, over-accessorize, or worry about putting too much time into her outfits. She's already got a great closet to start with! Instead, she sticks to simple, chic and feminine choices that fit perfectly to her form. She invests in high quality materials, fabrics, and timeless pieces that work with several other outfits as she recognizes that it doesn't take much to look ready. Hopefully this will one day be me. lol.

I am obsessed with...Pinterest!

I've been obsessed ever since I first joined. You know what I like about it? It combines many functions all in one website. I have a long reading list for blogs. I can follow most of my reading list since they have joined too. I can also search for photos that yield better results than Google...and are much prettier. It's also like Tumblr, except I can categorize them and see all the categories together (I'm such an organization freak). I like to think of it as the grown-up Tumblr.

Best of all? Although I like blogs, it's still a long list and a tedious task for me to comb through each new blog post. I admit I just look at the pictures anyways. The users I follow put up the same pictures they put in their blog posts, in addition to their own photos they find. That's all what makes Pinterest so great. I love Pinterest. If you haven't joined, I hope you do so now.

Work Style Series #1: Young & Bright

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Time for another outfit series! This time it is centered around the modern career woman. When you're working 9-5 (or whatever your hours) it's tiring to have to put in effort into your outfit everyday. I like to spruce things up. You don't have to stick to pant suits all the time. Granted, they're way easier and require less thought and effort but if you want to stand out, use some bright colours for some inspiration! For this particular outfit, I wanted to use yellow and fuschia with some gold accents as the main features. It's contemporary and youthful but still within the confines of professional work attire. This outfit just screams summer!
